INOVA is a small vocational high school situated in the center of Zagreb, the capital of our country, Croatia. All our students are teenagers, 14-18 years old and they study various economic and financial subjects. But, besides business studies, there are also numerous other subjects including foreign languages (English, German, Italian, French), history, geography, philosophy as well as various science subjects. Moreover, what we, the teachers, try to achieve is to teach the students not only school subjects, but also how to actively participate in everyday life. We don't have migrants and refugees, but we do have lots of students whose origins are from various parts of the former country which emphasizes the importance of teaching them all to accept differences as an important part of broadening their cultural awareness.
