The Programme
Added value
Through this partnership we expect all students from all partner schools to develop their IT, linguistic and cross-cultural competences and a feeling of belonging to a common European society and culture. We hope to increase our students level of tolerance towards other people and cultures. Strengthening their European identity is one of the main project goals. While participating in international projects, students will also improve their knowledge of the foreign languages as promoting language learning in school education is one of the partnership’s objectives. Spreading their knowledge and experiences by writing articles in the school newspapers, maintaining a web site, or simply talking about their work will have a positive effect on the learning process in the school, as more students will do their best to become involved in the partnership. It would be of a great benefit for students to take part in the project meetings. This experience will give them the opportunity to use the foreign language in an authentic setting. The students will also develop such abilities as team working, communication and cooperation, planning and organizing, taking responsibility and citizen action, etc.
Through getting to know other educational systems teachers would have a chance to get acquainted with teaching methods in other countries. The exchange of ideas, experience, information, methods and strategies will motivate them to use innovative and creative pedagogical practices.
The school heads will obtain new ideas about school administration and ways of solving common problems which the partner schools meet. The partner schools will learn about each other’s local communities. The students will realize that their countries have similar problems. The results of the project work will be submitted to their schools and local societies and hopefully they will have an impact on a national and international level. The regions where the partner schools are located will also be promoted to their local communities, because the students materials and articles about the project are expected to be published in the local newspapers.
The local communities are expected to show interest in the project themes and participate in some project activities. Since the school is a very important part of the community, the good quality of education is vital for the future of a community and a successful partnership may end up in establishing new links with partners in the local community.
