Synopsis of the 6th meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia, Apr 30th - May 4th 2012
Monday, Apr 30th
On Monday all partners arrived according to the time of flight, at Vienna airport. The Spanish delegation had arrived a day earlier at the airport in Bratislava. The teachers were accommodated in Park Inn hotel and the students were met by host families.
In the evening the teachers had an opportunity to watch the opera performance – Love Drink by Donizetti.

Tuesday, May 1st
In the morning all participants were taken to the Theological Institute where they were welcome by the headmistress Helena Jánošíková. The headmistress greeted all partners followed by a short concert performed by two students of the Music academy. After short break, the participants were taken to a sightseeing tour in The Old Town, first by a tour guide, next by a red train – called Prešporáčik.
After lunch at a local restaurant, all participants left for a boat trip up the river Danube, where they visited Devín Castle, an old ruin, a part of the National cultural heritage.

Wednesday, May 2nd
The morning was devoted to a short programe prepared by students of the school. They expressed they attitude to music, dance and singing. After a short break, the teachers were taken to a tour in the school building. In the meantime, students were invited to spend some time with Slovak students in their classrooms.
As scheduled, the presentations of theme 7 – Universal living values- started promptly . The final students´works were interesting and unique because each delegation was expected to present a different value.
After the presentations of Slovakia and Bulgaria, all participants were taken to the town center in order to meet the mayor of Bratislava Mr. Ftáčnik. He welcomed all visitors and explained the history of the building called Primaciálny palác. He was very nice, communicative and patient because all of the participants wanted to have a picture with him.
Next, the participants had a special opportunity to have lunch in the highest TV tower and restaurant in Slovakia – called Kamzík.
After lunch the presentations continued at school.
The teachers met at their last teachers´meeting and discussed their duties to be fulfilled.
In the evening the students and the teachers had a farewell dinner with the school stuff and the host students. Certificates of attendance were handed out to all participants.

Thursday was a day of trips. First, Driny - a cave, situated in the western mountain range called Malé Karpaty, was visited. It is 40m deep and 680m long.
Then, all participants visited a castle - Červený Kameň – the Red Rock, in which the tourist guide offered an explanation of its history and future plans.
After lunch, in the castle restaurant, all participants had a special opportunity to see and visit a small pottery manufacture (and the technology) called Majolika slovenská ľudová keramika.
Slovak folk majolica maintains the continuity of unique manual ceramic production. Products by Slovak folk majolica are hand-turned on an electric potter’s wheel and then hand-shaped.
Finally, all participants said good bye to the Spanish group, which had to leave earlier on Thursday evening.
